Welcome to the Fountain Pen Wiki, a place to collect information about all things fountain pens. Currently, there is not much here, however you are free to add information that is missing -- just remember to cite your sources!
A Note On The Word Wiki
Most people think that the word "wiki" is pronounced "wih-kee", and perhaps this is true for "American Main-Land English". However, it is pronounced differently in it's original Hawaiian: the correct pronunciation is "wee-kee", and the word means "quick". In other words, "Wikipedia" means "Quick Encyclopedia". If you wanted to emphasize the word "wiki", you would say it twice, i.e. "wiki wiki", similar to how we would emphasize the English word "quick" by saying "very quick". Nowadays, the "English version" of the word means "a web site used to document information", but I think it's interesting to learn about where our words come from!
What Needs Done
Two things need to be done:
- Create templates, e.g. for an info box (the thing to the right side of many pages on Wikipedia) and for the citations at the bottom of pages
- Add information! Right now, this wiki is barren, but I'd like this to be a place where people can easily research information on fountain pens.
